Marvin AllynMarvin Allyn of Eugene died Sept. 23 of age-related causes. He was 95. No service is planned.He was born July 2, 1915, in Republic, Wash., to Frank and Harriett Rays Allyn. He married Katherine Butler in 1943 in Bellingham, Wash. She died in May 1988.He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bellingham Normal College. He served in the U.S. Army in Italy during World War II, retiring at the rank of major. He worked in sales and management at Georgia-Pacific and retired after 30 years of service.Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Allyn of Eugene; three sons, Roger and David, both of Farmington N.M., and Richard of Salem; and two grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
