Obituary of Oregona Sweeting

Oregona SweetingVENETA — Oregona “Peggy” Sweeting of Veneta died Sept. 25 of age-related causes. She was 97. No local service is planned.She was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Portland to Evan and Justina Rumery Evansen. She married James Sweeting in July 1931 in Seattle. He died in 1967.She attended Grants Pass High School. She worked as a cook for the San Diego public schools.Survivors include a daughter, Donye Larson of Eugene; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Entombment will be at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
