Obituary of Nadine Hampton

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Fairfield Nazarene Church in Eugene for Nadine Hampton of Eugene, who died Sept. 21 of age-related causes. She was 88.She was born March 25, 1922, in Pollack, Idaho, to Donald and Lena Getzinger Combs. She married Joseph Hampton on July 5, 1949, in Vancouver, Wash. He died on Oct. 10, 1999.She worked as a dietician in hospitals in Coos Bay and Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene. She also worked as a child care provider in her home.Survivors include two sons, Gary Fitzhugh of Las Vegas and Craig Hampton of Eugene; two daughters, Jolene Reed of Eugene and Joni Brooks of Elmira; a brother, Delbert Combs of Dillard; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Inurnment at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Eugene.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
