Obituary of Carroll Hillman

Carroll HillmanThe funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary in Santa Clara, Calif., for Carroll Hillman of Eugene, who died Oct. 3 of age-related causes. He was 88. Visitation will be at noon Thursday at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary.He was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Hutton, La., to Helm and Lula Whatley Hillman. He married Cliofita Blea on June 10, 1945, in San Francisco. She died in November 2002.He spent two years with the Civilian Conservation Corps prior to joining the U.S. Navy. He served during World War II, from 1942 to 1946. He worked as an industrial sales representative for 45 years in the San Francisco Bay area.Survivors include two sons, Gary of Nallen, W. Va., and Kevin of Marcola; two daughters, Carol Lindenau of Westminster, Colo., and Lynne Hulsey of Laytonville, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara, Calif.
