Obituary of Chizuko Burns

Chizuko BurnsA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Chizuko Burns of Eugene, who died Oct. 6 of complications from cancer. She was 85.She was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Japan to Hiroshi and Matsue Sasaki. She married Ted Burns on June 17, 1958, in Tokyo.She graduated from high school and attended college. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis for four years and at the University of Oregon for 18 years.Her husband survives.Inurnment will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene, In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Hospice of Sacred Heart.
