Charles ThieleCharles F. Thiele of Eugene died Oct. 22 of age-related causes. He was 93. No service is planned.He was born July 23, 1917, in Portland to Fredrick and Florence Thiele.He married Judith Matson in 1946 in Portland. She died in October 2000.He was in the merchant marines during World War II.He later owned and operated McKenzie Disposal Service for more than 30 years.Survivors include two daughters, Tana Thiele of Bellevue, Wash., and Cathy Thiele of Eugene; a son, Kim, of Springfield; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Private inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Leaburg. Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
