Obituary of Lucas Esgate

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Elmira Church of Christ for Lucas Lee “Scooby” Esgate of Elmira, who died Oct. 17 of injuries sustained in a bicycling accident. He was 17. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.He was born Aug. 11, 1993, in Eugene.He was a senior at West Lane Technical Learning Center in Elmira.Survivors include his parents, Loren Esgate and Tracy Locke; grandparents Bonnie Aarnes, Gary Smith and Dale Esgate Sr.; three sisters, Sheila Cazimero of Veneta, Brittany Petersen of Elmira and Christine Esgate of West Virginia; and two brothers, Jason Locke of Veneta and Loren Esgate Jr. of Elmira.Remembrances to Siuslaw Bank in Veneta.
