Obituary of Kaye Montgomery

Kaye MontgomeryA celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 29 at Musgrove Family Center for Kaye Schwiesow Montgomery, who died Oct. 14 of heart failure. She was 74.She was born April 28, 1936, in Dell Rapids, S.D., to Floyd and Elsie Korherr Raines. She married Chuck Schwiesow in 1960 in South Dakota. She married Jerry Montgomery in 1990 in Eugene. He died in 1992.She completed nursing training in South Dakota and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Linfield College. She worked as a registered nurse for 23 years at the former Eugene Clinic and continued nursing by doing clinical drug trials.Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Nyman of Bend and Christine Benzie of San Diego; a sister, Jerry Macy of Borrego Springs, Calif.; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
