Obituary of Joan McCornack

Joan McCornackA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at First Christian Church in Eugene for Joan Eudora McCornack of Eugene, who died Oct. 18 of age-related causes. She was 92.She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in La Grande to Columbus and Ada Lois Bales. She married Walter Stewart McCornack on July 2, 1944, in Portland. He died Sept. 28, 1998.She earned a bachelor’s degree in home economics from Oregon State University in 1940, taught school in California and Oregon; and was a homemaker.Survivors include a daughter, Julie Anne Goode of Cossington, Somerset, England; a son, Stewart of Eugene; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
