Obituary of Roland Letsom

JUNCTION CITY — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Peace Presbyterian Church in Eugene for Roland A. Letsom of Junction City, who died Oct. 31 of age-related causes. He was 86.Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.He was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Oakland to John and Eva Theil Letsom. He married Barbara Burrell on June 30, 1950. They divorced in 1977. He married Herminia Martos Zuano on March 2, 1988, in the Philippines.He graduated from high school in Drain. He served in the Air Force. He owned and operated Letsom Brothers’ Sawmill for many years and worked as an electrician and millwright for Skyline Products. He retired in 1991.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sarah “Michelle” Middleton of Springfield; three sons, Ronald of Creswell, Daniel of Hillsboro, and Bill of Springfield; a brother, Eldon of Cottage Grove; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to Peace Presbyterian Church in Eugene or Creswell Presbyterian Church.
