James McDonaldA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for James E. McDonald of Eugene, who died Oct. 25 of respiratory failure. He was 67.He was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Calgary, Alberta, to James and Gwendolyn Malin McDonald. He married Susan Diamond on June 12, 2000, in Eugene.He received his bachelor of education degree in secondary education from the University of Alberta in 1966, a master of science degree in counseling psychology and school psychology from the University of Oregon in 1970, a master of education degree in special education from the UO in 1971, a doctorate in special education and clinical/school psychology from the UO in 1973 and postdoctorate in counseling psychology from the UO in 1982. He was a psychologist.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kari Kennard of Tacoma and Lori McDonald of La Jolla, Calif.; a son, Ian Klassen of Vancouver, B.C., two stepsons, Nicholas Johnston of Eugene and Steven Johnston of Washington, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.Inurnment will be at West Lawn Mausoleum in Eugene. Remembrances to Lane County Animal Regulation Authority.
