Obituary of Philip Berg

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene for Philip Berg of Junction City, who died Nov. 7 of age-related causes. He was 93.He was born May 4, 1917, in Dallas, S.D., to John and Margaret Berg. He married Myla Jane Anderson in Sacramento in December 1950; she died previously. He married Flora Jean Campbell in 1968 in Corvallis; she also died previously.He was a mechanic for Eugene Dodge and also a farmer. He had lived in the area for 45 years.Survivors include three daughters, Linda Parker of Indiana, Susan Tingey of Merced, Calif., and Carol Detering of Harrisburg; two stepdaughters, Linda Neet of Springfield and Sharon Calvert of Alpine; three sons, Rodger of California, James of Manteca, Calif., and Charles of Junction City; a stepson, Peter Jacob of Springfield; and 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
