Obituary of Betty Kutschara

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Lane Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Eugene for Betty Joyce Kutschara of Eugene, who died Nov. 6 of age-related causes. She was 81.She was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Eugene to David and Mary Brown Fisher. She married Leslie Kutschara on Sept. 21, 1945, in Springfield.She worked as a dietary cook at Sacred Heart Medical Center for 15 years and before that was a cook at Hillside Heights.Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Pobanz, of Springfield; a son, Paul, of Walterville; a brother, Roy Layton, of Portland; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Leslie, died in 2005.Remembrances to the Diabetes Foundation.
