Obituary of Charles Sholes

Charles SholesA memorial service will be held for Charles Parker Sholes of Eugene, who died Nov. 7 from complications of diabetes. He was 57. The service will be an open house held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1734 W. 34th Ave.He was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Charles and Della “Bee” Ridsdale Sholes.He graduated from Sheldon High School and attended Oregon State University. He worked as a dispatcher for Builders Electric Co. for many years and lived in the area for 50 years.Survivors include his mother, of Eugene; a daughter, Heather Sholes, of Eugene; a sister, Cathy Sholes-Tropple, of Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, Randy and Lance, both of Tigard, and Jon of San Francisco; and one granddaughter.
