William RodgersWilliam A. Rodgers of Eugene died Nov. 20 of complications from pneumonia. He was 90. No service is planned.He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Lakeland, Fla., to Norman and Annie Jones Rodgers.He married Anna Barrett in 1948. They divorced in 1965.He held a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1946.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.He worked as a general practitioner and general surgeon in Baltimore at Franklin Square and St. Joseph’s hospitals for 35 years. He retired in 1980.Survivors include four daughters, LaRue Rodgers and Laurie de González, both of Eugene, Weslie Ann Rodgers-Fortunoff of Vashon Island, Wash., and Alexa Wilson Rodgers of Madrid, Spain; a son, Fletcher of Baltimore; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.A private family inurnment is planned. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
