Obituary of Russell Moon

Russell MoonRussell Moon of Eugene died Dec. 3 of age-related causes. He was 81. A celebration of life will be held later.He was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Osage, Iowa, to Edwin and Minnie Scholl Moon.He graduated from Roseburg High School. He worked as a log truck driver for Simpson Timber Co., and later as a part-time gravel truck driver.Survivors include his life partner, Arleigh Watkins of Brookings; three sons, Edwin, Jeffrey, and Christopher, all of Crescent City, Calif.; three sisters, Alyce Anglin of Dallas, Ore., Bertha Millhollen of Eugene, and Alta Roberts of Redmond; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A son, Michael, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
