Helen SauerSPRINGFIELD — Helen Irene Sauer of Springfield died Dec. 9 of age-related causes. She was 89. No service is planned.She was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Rogersville, Mo., to Herman and Lucille Brown McGraw. She married Thomas Sauer in Las Vegas. He died in 2003.She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary.Survivors include a daughter, Sue Sauer of Springfield; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Leslie Sauer Payne, died in 2008 and a son, Ronald Sauer, died in 1983.Inurnment will be in Solvang, Calif. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the Salvation Army or the USO.
