Obituary of Emma Rojo

Emma RojoSPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Emma T. Rojo of Springfield, who died Dec. 4 of age-related causes. She was 95.She was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Douglas, Ariz., to Federico and Antonia Amador Talamantes. She married Angel Leopoldo “Polo” Rojo on Aug. 1, 1936, in Bisbee, Ariz. He died May 25, 1960.She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for the parish priest at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bisbee and as a cook for the Cochise County Jail.Survivors include three daughters, Maria Silock of El Paso, Texas, Rosa Wray of Austin, Texas, and Lillie Hengler of Walterville; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
