Obituary of Dale Burns

Dale BurnsA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Dale Francis Burns of Eugene, who died Nov. 27 of diabetes. He was 80.He was born July 4, 1930, in Portland to William and Rose Gill Burns. He married Darlene Klaus on July 23, 1955, in Eugene. They later divorced. He and his second wife, Barbara, were married in 1975. They later divorced.He served in the Navy for four years, from 1950 to 1954. He worked for 45 years in the wholesale fruit and vegetable business.Survivors include two daughters, Deanna Butler of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Denise Burns of Portland; a brother, Jim of Washington; a sister, Donna Ainsworth of Monmouth; and two grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.
