Obituary of Robert Scott

Robert Scott Sr.COOS BAY — Robert W. Scott Sr. of Coos Bay died Dec. 23 of complications from diabetes. He was 82. No service is planned.He was born June 17, 1928, in Oak Harbor, Wash., to Walter and Helen Sayder Scott. He married Una Pearson on Nov. 26, 1955, in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.He joined the Merchant Marine and served in the Army transport service and signal corps, spending 25 years in the military. He worked for 15 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, worked as a commercial fisherman and was owner and operator of the Andrianna in Charleston.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tracy Oliver of Pasco, Wash.; a son, Robert of Buckley, Wash.; a brother, Donald; a sister, Ann Marie McMurtry of Stanwood, Wash.; and five grandchildren. A son, Eric Robert Scott, died previously.Inurnment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
