Ray SwitzerSPRINGFIELD — Ray Switzer of Springfield died Dec. 27 of age-related causes. He was 92. No service is planned.He was born July 1, 1918, in Newberg to Arthur and Anna Allenbaugh Switzer. He married Virginia Guyer on July 27, 1940, in Reno, Nev. She died in January 2008.He worked as a heavy hauler for several trucking companies and a heavy equipment hauler for Jay F. Oldham Company from 1969 until his retirement in 1983.Survivors include a son, Curt of Springfield; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements by England Memorial Chapel in Eugene.
