Obituary of Mary Ellen Krumdieck

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 15 at Grace Lutheran Church for Mary Ellen Krumdieck of Eugene, who died Dec. 20 of age-related causes. She was 85.She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Joseph and Daisy Maude Messenger Coombs. She married Walter Krumdieck on July 28, 1945, in Champaign, Ill.She graduated from Kern County Union High School in Bakersfield.She was a cook for the Eugene School District, mainly at North Eugene High School.Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ralph of Eugene and Gary of Billings, Mont.; a daughter, Janice Kaufman of Eugene; two sisters, Grace Bussell of Tehachapi, Calif., and Edith Nichols of Yoncalla; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
