Obituary of Alice Hawkins-Fairchild

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lane Memorial Funeral Home for Alice Jane Hawkins-Fairchild of Eugene, who died Dec. 22 of age-related causes. She was 99.Hawkins-Fairchild was born on Jan 29, 1911, in Topeka, Kan., to George and Mary Frank Oswald. She married Riley Hawkins on Jan. 30, 1926, in Toledo, Ore. He died Dec. 3, 1981.Hawkins-Fairchild was a lifelong homemaker.Survivors include a son, Dale Hawkins of Warner Robins, Ga.; a sister, Edna Jaques of Junction City; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Marvin Hawkins, and Rollin, “Bud” Hawkins, died previously.A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Lane Memorial Funeral Home.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
