Obituary of Hugh Torrance Ross

ROSS: Hugh Torrance Ross passed away in his sleep on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to James and Helen Alexina Ross on October 18th, 1922. He spent most of his life farming with his father in the Cypress River and Glenboro area. He married the love of his life, Myrtle Irene Cook (née Chapman) on December 27th, 1975 and they enjoyed travelling, fishing trips and many Masonic and Shrine functions for almost 22 years. He is survived by his niece Gloria Munroe, her husband Dan and their three sons Jason, Geoff and Justin as well as Myrtle's four children, Bill, Barbara, Terry and Ellen. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Arlene Robertson officiating. Interment will take place at the Brandon Hills Cemetery. Donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B-457-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4A9 or to a charity of choice.
