Obituary of Robert David "Bob" Mitchell

MITCHELL: Robert David Mitchell (August 13, 1949 - September 6, 2012), formerly of Brandon, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Summerland, BC. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was predeceased by his parents Melvin and Dorothy and sister Melva. Bob is survived by his son Brian, daughter Charlene (Jason); grandchildren Jacob, Daellin, Chase and Tyren; Charlene and Brian's mother Faye; siblings Elizabeth and Lawrie; Bob's partner Linda Joynt and her children Dayna (Ashley), Tanya (Steven) and grandchildren Jasmine, Destinee, Jessica, Gabby, Ashley, Draco and Mickey and by his extended family. Bob lived a life full of love, laughter, family and travel. He was a loving, caring and compassionate man who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger. Family always came first no matter the scenario in play. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon. Mr. Mike Waddell will officiate. Interment will follow at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Bob's life will follow at The 40 in the Trails West Inn, 210-18th Street North.
