Obituary of Jared Stout
Jared Stout, beloved son of Lamae Stout (Nelson) was born June 19, 1997 died December 22nd in Harrisburg, OR.Jared loved music and was active in his high school band and jazz group. He also sang in the church choir, singing solos and playing his instruments at Faith Lutheran Church in Junction City. His new love in music was his electric guitar, which he practiced without being told. He took great joy in downloading songs off the computer and figuring them out.He loved animals – including his dog and faithful companion Bandit and his bunny Snuggles.He was a gifted student and challenged his teachers. He had an inquisitive mind and always asked good questions. He skipped second grade and was a freshman at Harrisburg High School. He was looking forward to his High School Band trip to Hoodoo and San Francisco and going snow-boarding this year.He had an innate curiosity and always loved learning about everything from history about airplanes used in World War II to the latest electronics. He hoped to one day be a pilot and wanted to join the Air Force and fly jets. He attended Sky School, a summer program for kids interested in learning to fly. There he was able to fly with friends, which was exciting for him.Last year he had one of his best vacations in Montana and Idaho, fishing, hunting, tubing on the Snake River, taking jet boat rides and camping.He loved to experiment and tinker with things taking them apart and putting them back together, always thinking and questioning how things work. He liked gadgets and video games and was eager to help his family and friends with their computers and phones.He loved going down to Hayworth River Bottom with his Grandpa and his dog Bandit. He would roam around with his BB gun and sometimes his Grandpa would let him drive his truck.Jared will be extremely missed by his family and friends who felt blessed to have him in their lives.Jared leaves a loving mother, Lamae, Grandparents Quintin and Ruth Nelson, Grandparents Lloyd and Lorie Stout, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by Grandmother Gayle Stout, Aunt Susie Jensen and father Darwin.In lieu of flowers, please send any donations or memorials to the Harrisburg High School Band or the Womenspace in Eugene, Oregon.
