Obituary of Maxine Gilbert

Maxine GilbertA celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Eugene Eagles Lodge for Maxine Gilbert of Eugene, who died Dec. 27 of age-related causes. She was 85.She was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Oakland to William and Freda Whittall Ewing. She married Herbert Gilbert in 1944 in Eugene. He died in 1981.She worked as a cosmetologist at Kaufman’s department store for 20 years.Survivors include her life partner of 22 years, Willie Revera; two sons, Dave of Winchester and Bill of Eugene; a sister, Wilma Evoniuk of Eugene; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.
