Obituary of Freda "Joyce" Diller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Joyce Diller on April 20, 2012 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Andy in 2006 and her son Leon in 2004. Mom was a very strong woman, a lovely lady and we were lucky she had an amazing long life to share with us, we will cherish the wonderful memories we have of her. Mom will be forever loved and sadly missed by her children Millie Diller (or Mildred as Mom always called her) of Brandon, MB, Carol (Barry) Jacks of Calgary, AB and Ron(Gisele) Diller, of Tisdale SK. as well as Gail Diller of Saskatoon SK. Her five grandchildren Sherry (Roberto) Giacomin, Shawn (Julie) Jacks, Jason (Sam) Diller, Allison (Shawn) Diller and Brett (Dana) Diller, and her ten loving great grandchildren Alyssa, Ashley, Stephanie, Jonah, Charlize, Keara, Julianna, Erica, Jenessa and Quinn, will also miss their Gramma. Joyce was born in Edrans, MB, she moved to Brandon where she met and married Andrew Diller and they were married for 64 years before Andy passed away. She was a stay-at-home Mom who raised their children and was a bookkeeper for their business, Diller's Transfer. As her children got older she worked for Heming/McCallam Jewelers. Joyce spent her last 8 years at Valleyview Care Centre, where she was provided with excellent care by the capable staff. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rachel, Sharon, Brenda, Mel and Joy, whom Mom had a wonderful relationship with and a special love for. Joyce was cremated and there will be a private family service at a later date. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to a charity of choice.
