Bill was a great step-father to me, and I miss him so much. Always kind, always patient, Bill gave of himself freely and never asked anything in return. He was a splendid grandfather, and I am grateful that my children got to know their grandfather. The roses he planted in my garden in Waterloo 20 years ago still blossom, and are just one of his many legacies.
