Sharon LindquistSharon L. Lindquist of Eugene died Jan. 8 of causes related to pulmonary fibrosis. She was 74. A family gathering is planned for later.She was born Dec. 25, 1936. She married Carl Lindquist on May 17, 1989, in Hawaii.Her career in law enforcement began as a dispatcher and then a secretary for the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. She became a detective and was the investigator in charge of child and sexual abuse cases. She trained at the FBI academy as a handwriting expert. She was retired.Survivors include her husband; a son, Kevin McGlinchey of Denver; a daughter, Lisa Yriarte of Eugene; three stepchildren, Gary and Lex, both of Washington, and Wendy Akin of Eugene; two sisters, Karol Willie of Eugene and Dixie Harms of Canby; a brother, John “Jack” Hill of Veneta; two grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
