Obituary of Regina Cerena Bailey

Regina Cerena Bailey of Brandon, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, September 22, 2011, two days following her 92nd birthday. Mum was born in Elton Municipality on September 20, 1919 to parents, William Gordon and Anna Sarah Dunseith. She received her education at Norman School. She married Charles (Wes) Bailey on December 27, 1943 and they were married for 67 years, until she was widowed in March of this year. Mum had a love for farming and the outdoors, especially gardening and enjoyed the hours spent in her vegetable and flower gardens. Mum was a homebody at heart and was most happy when doing needlework (such as pictures), making quilts with the neighbour ladies and all forms of sewing. During the last five years of her life she was a resident of Valleyview Care Centre, due to the onset of Parkinson's disease. Regina was predeceased by her husband, Charles (Wes) in March of 2011, and she is survived by one son, Dexter of Brandon. At her request, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held.
