Obituary of Paul Iida

HARRISBURG — A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Central Valley Church in Halsey for Paul Iida of Harrisburg, who died Jan. 14 of age-related causes. He was 87.Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home.He was born April 19, 1923, to Tatuma and Iujie Takie Iida. He married Leola Anna Hopkins on Aug. 16, 1963, in Las Vegas.He served in the Army as a radio operator during World War II. He worked as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft in Fullerton, Calif., for 30 years.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Violet Stone of Sweet Home, Valerie Bond of Harrisburg and Pauli Iida of Maui, Hawaii; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
