My memories of Ron & Mary Dornn are very heartwarming. I think of Frank's & my overnight visit there and when we asked where we were to sleep we were told, "In whatever bed you find with nobody in it". We found one!! We were treated with wonderful hospitality and lots of visiting was done. What a joy to know you and I wish you God's care and comfort.
Love, Martha

Dear Dornn Family.
We had mixed feelings when we heard for your husband/fathers passing. We are happy and confident in his new resting place, yet are sad for the family that will miss his physical presence. I have wonderful memories of times spent with your family in years past, and still enjoy the odd times we are able to connect while living in Manitoba. We missed not being able to attend the wake or funeral and to celebrate your fathers full life. We love each of you and pray Gods peace will be near. You have a wonderful Christian heritage and one to be so thankful for. Please accept our sympathy and love.

Our deepest condolences in the passing of Mr. Dornn. We did not know Mr. Dornn personally , however through Mary- Ann' literary skills we knew something about him. Mary-Ann, you might recall our visit with you in Prince Albert several years ago. I was a Teachers College Colleague of Peter Maendel. (Fairholme Colony)
We regret we will be unable to attend the funeral service tomorrow, however we will be thinking about you.

Mary
I am sorry to see you loose your soul mate. We are all thankful that we have the Lord to lean on when lonely times set in. Please offer Diane and my condolences to your children as well.
My parents are in a similiar state with my Mom being in the hospital for 5 months and my dad having a real tough time with his short time memory. He is now in a secure home.
Our prayers will be with you over the coming months.

Ron was a genuine example of godly fatherhood and genuine Christian ministry. I know all of you members of his family, as well as all of us who encountered him and were blessed by his faithful ministry of the word of God, will dearly miss him but will hold cherishing memories of our times with him.
I met Ron on my first trip to Mannitoba on my way from attending a Christian camp meeting at North Battleford, Sakatchewan in the summer of 1976. My wife was with me, and there were about four others in our group from the Caribbean. Ron and Mary accommodated all of us in their home and fed us well for several days.
I mentioned his exemplary fatherhood because being married then for just about three years, I was deeply impressed by the sincere spirituality and love with which Ron treated his wife and children. I can still hear his anointed voice and guitar strumming as he led his family in choruses of praise and worship every evening. That first visit turned out to be the beginning of many more annual stops at the home of Ron and his family for those of us from the Caribbean who attended these annual camp meetings in North Battleford. It still puzzles me how elastic their house seemed to be to be able to comfortably accommodate all of us Caribbean visitors in addition to their many children, some of whom so kindly gave up their bedrooms to us.
My visits to Mannitoba became less frequent in recent years. But Ron's generous hospitality and godly devotion to the things of God contributed significantly to my spiritual growth in the way of the Lord. Whenever I think of inspring, sincere, and uncompromising Christian people I have met in my journeys as a minister of the Gospel in the Church the Body of Christ, Ron stands out.
Lucille and I extend our prayerful condolences to Ron's family. May God who comforts us in our times of sorrow embrace you, comfort you, and assure you that Ron has actually been called by Him into the heavenly realm in His joyous and peaceful presence. Ron believed in Jesus Christ and his life demonstrated the godliness of such a faith and inspired many. He now lives on through the eternal life of Christ offered to all who, like Ron, lives and believes on Jesus our Saviour.
