Obituary of Florence Pearl Dudley
DUDLEY: Florence Pearl Dudley of Brandon entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 4, 2010 in her 95th year. Pearl was born on March 29, 1916 at Aneroid, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald, brother, John Dafoe and sisters, Irene Duckenich and Elva Wilkins. In retirement, Reg and Pearl spent many enjoyable years at their cottage at Pelican Lake. Weekends were spent following their horse on the harness racing circuit in Manitoba. Pearl's family and friends have many of her 90 plus paintings to keep her close in their hearts. Pearl leaves to mourn her passing sons John (Annette) of Winnipeg and Tab (Heather) of Brandon. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Cheryle-Ann and Tracy of Winnipeg, Kim of Brandon and Leigh (Pam) of Airdrie, Alberta. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Donna Wilkins of Killarney and Sharon Chanas (Mike) of Winnipeg. The Funeral Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Shannon McCarthy of Central United Church officiating. A private family interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pearl may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 727B-10th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4G7.
