Obituary of John Robert Mitchell

John was born in Turtle Mountain on September 17, 1928 and passed on peacefully at BRHC on April 2, 2010. John spent his early childhood in Killarney and moved to Brandon where he spent the rest of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Irene, brother-in-law Mel Ruberry, and sisters-in-law Helen Simpson, Gerry Hansen (Stan), Anne Marcin (Alec), Florence Zawadsky (Larry) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father, two sisters; Agnes Ruberry and Doris McDonald and three brothers-in-law Alvin Hunt, Peter McDonald and Carl Simpson. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Funeral Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday April 9, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 5B7.
