Phyllis BrittonThe funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Phyllis M. Britton of Eugene, who died Jan. 27 of age-related causes. She was 81.She was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Portland to Edward and Betty Schaffer Brands.She married James Earl Britton in June 1956 in Corvallis. He died in May 2001.She was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Portland, and earned a bachelor’s degree in home economics in 1951 at Oregon State University. She was a bookkeeper for Quiner & Britton Engineers, a teller for Benjamin Franklin bank and was a member of the office staff for the Eugene Emeralds.Survivors include two sons, Thomas Britton of Eugene and David Britton of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Robert Brands of Beaverton and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
