Obituary of Mervin McCarl

JUNCTION CITY — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Eugene Livestock Auction for Mervin H. McCarl of Junction City, who died Jan. 30 of injuries sustained in a livestock accident. He was 77.He was born April 22, 1933, in Geddes, S.D., to Henry and Audrey Field McCarl. He married Juanita Bryson in 1960.He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953. He was a utility millworker in various plywood mills for more than 40 years. He also worked as a cattle and pig rancher.Survivors include his wife; a son, Matt of Harrisburg; a daughter, Miranda Hudson of Junction City; a brother, Morris of Lexington; a sister, Myrtle McMillan of Lexington; and five grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
