Obituary of Elbert Womack

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 6, at Santa Clara Church of Christ in Eugene for Elbert William Womack of Eugene, who died Feb. 2 of age-related causes. He was 91.He was born May 29, 1919, in Oklahoma to William and Grace Parker Womack. He married Helen Hayre on March 20, 1938, in Gravette, Ark. She died July 8, 2002.He attended San Jose Bible College and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad.Survivors include three sons, Steven of Missouri, Walt of California and Don of California; and 10 grandchildren. A daughter, Sharon Rogers, died previously.Inurnment will be in Arkansas. Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to Santa Clara Church of Christ missions.
