Obituary of Robert Bodine

VENETA — Robert “Bob” Bodine of Veneta died March 3 following a heart attack. He was 82. No service is planned.He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Porterville, Calif., to Paul and Ethel Gilligan Bodine.He worked as a bread delivery man for Weber Bread. He was a retired firefighter with Camp Nelson, Calif., search and rescue. He was also an arborist.Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Shirley Bodine; six daughters, Tammi Kemp of Oregon, Margi Perotti, Tina Smarts, Elberta Haines, Barbara Smeathers and Debra Fox, all of California; three sons, Mike Perotti of Montana, Sean Poland of California and J.P. Martindale of Oregon; a sister, Becky Prandini of Porterville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
