Obituary of Lorna Sweeney

Lorna SweeneyA memorial service will take place in the summer in Bellingham, Wash., for Lorna S. Sweeney of Eugene, who died March 5 of age-related causes. She was 89.She was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Vancouver, B.C., to Daniel and Gladys Foe McMonagle. She married William Sweeney on Jan. 13, 1945; he died Aug. 31, 2010.She graduated from high school in Bellingham and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She worked in customer service in the banking industry.Survivors include two sons, William Jr. of Surprise, Ariz., and Douglas of Allyn, Wash.; two daughters, Patti Free of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Sherri Ross of Corvallis; a brother, Donald McMonagle of Bellingham; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
