Obituary of Ruth Brown

Ruth BrownRuth V. Brown of Eugene died March 13 of age-related causes. She was 88. A memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses is planned for a later date.She was born April 12, 1922, in Duluth, Minn., to Oscar and Edna Nelson Anderson. She married Traverse Brown on April 25, 1940, in Duluth. He died Feb. 5, 1999.She worked as a cook at a men’s club in Duluth and retired as a school bus driver for the Eugene School District.Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Woda of Eugene and Judy; two sons, James of Manderson, Wyo., and Johnny of Duluth; three sisters; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren died previously.Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Eugene. Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
