Obituary of Brandon Russell
Brandon Lee Russell (Roe) age 37 from Monroe died Saturday March 12, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, OR. from a heart attack. Brandon was born Nov.19, 1973 in The Dalles, OR. Brandon married Chrystal Parker 11 years ago and had two beautiful sons Wesley and Wade Russell they lived in Bellfountain. Parents are Jim and Glenda Roe of Philomath and Steven Borg of Hood River; Brother Jim & wife Breanne Roe of Redmond; Sister Heather & husband Jeff Heidrick of Redmond; Brother Frank & wife Leslie Roe of Salem and sister Lindsey Borg Hood River. Brandon moved around as a child and then spent his high school years in Philomath Or graduating at Philomath High School in 1992. In school he was into lifting weights and choir. Brandon had a beautiful deep voice if you could ever get him to sing. Brandon loved to fish and go crabbing whenever someone would take him. He loved smoking his fish and jerky. Brandon’s boys were his life. He was a stay at home dad from the time they were born and was an amazing father. He loved riding bikes and playing basketball with the boys as they got older. He was so proud of them that they were such good boys. He loved his huge Mastiff dog Goliath. Brandon had a gift of numbers kind of like rain man. Brandon was a shy man until you got to know him. He was always a jokester trying to make you laugh. Brandon struggled with epilepsy since the age of two and would get depressed often. A seizure finally took his life. Brandon was a prime candidate to be an organ donor. He’ll live on in the life of others. His son said he’s a hero. Brandon loved being with his family and he will be missed terribly. Brandon is survived by his wife, sons, parents, siblings, grandmother, aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins and by his two dogs. Predeceased by, grandparents that are waiting with open arms. Service will be at the Peace Lutheran Church in Philomath Oregon on March 18, 2011 at 4:00 with a potluck following the service. Arrangements made through Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City Oregon. Remembrances may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
