Obituary of Beverley Rud

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, March 19, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Beverley R. “Bev” Rud of Albany, former 68-year resident of Lane County, who died March 13 of brain and lung cancer. She was 77.She was born Sept. 8, 1933, in Arlington, S.D., to Harry and Thelma Bennett Jensen. She married Alfred Rud on Sept. 5, 1953, in Eugene. He died Oct. 20, 2006.She attended North Bend High School for three years and graduated from Willamette High School in 1951. She worked in accounting for pension and profit-sharing plans for Jeres Lindley and Company. She later worked for Village Jewelry and, in her retirement, worked for Master Donuts.Survivors include her mother, now of Eugene; two daughters, Loretta Taylor of Springfield and Tami Jay of Albany; a sister, Diane Lindley of Eugene; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Entombment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.Remembrances to the American Cancer Society or Samaritan Evergreen Hospice of Albany.
