Obituary of LaRene Hallford

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for LaRene Ardell Hallford of Marcola, who died March 17 of age-related causes. She was 92.She was born May 27, 1918, in Lone Star, Kan., to Benjamin and Jessie Manners Corbin. She married William Hallford on Oct. 31, 1938, in Las Vegas. He died in 1986.She graduated from Alhambra High School in California. She made hand-sewn satin casket liners, was an upholsterer and a homemaker.Survivors include two sons, William of Marcola and Brad of Springfield; two daughters, Vicki Connolly of Marcola and Flora Bates of Bend; a brother, Harold Corbin of Elmira; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A son, Leonard Hallford, and a granddaughter, Karen Connolly, died previously.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
