He served honorably in the US Army from 1964-1970. His passions were golf, Bible study, dancing and music. But most of all he dearly loved his family. Tom was married to his beloved wife Karen for 11 years. Karen fell in love with his dancing brown eyes, sense of humor and the joyful adventures they had together. He adored his daughters, Kristin Wacker, Tricia Olvera and step-daughter, Elissa Beswick, and loved them unconditionally. He was a kind, loving father who enjoyed a fun-loving camaraderie with all three of his girls. Kristin and her husband Richard blessed him with three beautiful grandchildren: Evy, Ilsa, and Hagen. Tricia and her husband Micah blessed him with five wonderful grandchildren: Andrew, Jacob, Rachel, Kiley and Marisa. His pride in his grandchildren was overwhelming. They were his joy. Tom enjoyed a lifelong friendship with his older brother, John Larson, and they loved talking about the Bible and politics together. They also had a passion for playing golf along with John?s wife, Retha. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Jacquie Levings. Tom was extremely close to Jacquie?s son, Steve Zeedyk, and delighted in their intimate conversations together, especially during their breakfast outings. He was a loving ?second son? to Karen?s parents, Hal and Ara Rodgers, and blessed them tremendously with his kindness, servant?s heart and devotion to their needs. He was also a loving caregiver to his own parents, Don and Evelyn Larson, as as well as others in the community. Tom taught all those around him about the truest kind of love. He taught us patience, acceptance, integrity, kindness, forgiveness, understanding, compassion and to live from the heart. Family and friends will miss the steadfast support, love, and laughter he brought to their lives. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Services, 225 South Danebo Ave., Eugene, Sunday, March 27 at 2:00.
