Obituary of Paul Carr

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Paul Joseph Carr of Yuma, Ariz., formerly of Eugene, who died March 28 of age-related causes. He was 87.Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.He was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Independence, Kan., to Charles and Rosie Murch Carr. He married Illia Tull on Dec. 2, 1944, in Independence. She died previously.He served in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946. He retired from Albers Feed and Farm Supply in Eugene after 37 years of employment.Survivors include his wife, Carolyn “Carrie” Carr; four daughters, Paula Fisher and Jean Carr, both of Harrisburg, Judy Walter of Boise and Janice Knori of Springfield; a son, Darrel of Eugene; a sister, Marie Swinney of Plano, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
