Obituary of Rachel Wingerd

Rachel WingerdA graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland for Rachel Wingerd of Veneta, who died March 26. The family did not list a cause of death. She was 91.She was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Morrison, Ill., to Ralph and Florence (James) Bush. She married Alfred Wingerd on Aug. 27, 1940, in Upland, Calif.She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; a son, Mervyn of Veneta; two daughters, Elaine Monninger of Riverside, Calif., and Jeannine Holmes of Cornelius; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.A grandson, Adam Holmes, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
