Obituary of Gloria Dunsmore
DUNSMORE: Gloria Dunsmore (née Kelleher) of Brandon, passed away peacefully at her residence, Hillcrest Place on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Gloria was predeceased by her son Michael Gye Pawlyshyn, parents R. A. Kelleher, sisters June Kelleher and Dawna (Gordon) Phillips, brother-in-law Dr. Wilfred Cotter and sister-in-law Murielle. Gloria is survived by her sisters Mae Cotter, Twlya (Allan) Warwaruk, brothers Jim, Jack (Marian), Pat (Joan), and numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria lived in Windsor, ON for a number of years. She worked as a hostess of the Elmwood Casino. She returned to Brandon in 1963, and she went back to school receiving her diploma as a hair stylist. She was employed at Assiniboine Community College in hairstyling, then in later years taught basic computing at the College. She had a great fondness for all the people she worked with. The family wishes to express our appreciation for the care Gloria received at Hillcrest Place. Gloria was a devout member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. Prayers will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 327-4th Street, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Jorge Mante as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Gloria may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B-457-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4A9.
