Obituary of Margaret Victoria Lundy

LUNDY: It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Victoria Lundy announces her passing at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Marg was born in Alameda, Saskatchewan on January 1, 1917 and moved with her parents and siblings to Brandon at an early age. She married Wesley Lundy in 1939 and continued to reside in Brandon until her death. Marg was employed at various retail stores during her working years, including Jo-Ann's Ladies Wear and Stylerite Department Store. In previous years, Marg had volunteered her time with the Prairie Oasis Senior Centre and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #3. She received a Life Membership award in 2002. Above all, she was a loving mother, sister and aunt. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Catherine Parker, three brothers, two sisters, one nephew and her husband Wes, Marg will be sadly missed by her daughter Judy of Brandon, sister Isabel De Marsh of Calgary, brother-in-law Mick Little of Long Beach, Washington and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and by many friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and engaging smile. The Funeral Service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 with Arlene Robertson officiating. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
