Obituary of Ardith Deal

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Ardith “Ardie” Deal of Springfield, who died April 9 at age 65. The family chose not to list the cause of death. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.She was born July 20, 1945, in Tacoma to Elbert and Dorothy Meyer Nestle. She married Merten Deal on Nov. 10, 1983, in Drain. He died Nov. 23, 2008.She graduated from Federal Way High School in Washington. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her father; three daughters, Sherilyn Brosig and Melissa Holm, both of Eugene, and Tamara McGraw of Arizona; a son, James Moffitt of Alaska; three stepdaughters, Norma Hart of Salem, Kathleen Melgarejo of Portland and Karen Morgan of California; a step-sister, Bernita Walsh of Washington; and 20 grandchildren. A grandson, Zachary Bedell, died June 18, 1987.
